Ingredients:
- 1 bag of tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
- 1 cup cooked and seasoned ground beef or chicken
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup diced jalapeños (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup guacamole
- 1/4 cup salsa
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Toppings: Dice the tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño’s, and chop the cilantro. Set aside. Prepare the sour cream, guacamole, and salsa in separate bowls.
- Layer the Chips: In the bottom of your air fryer basket, spread out a layer of tortilla chips.
- Add Cheese and Toppings: Sprinkle about half of the shredded cheese over the chips. Add a layer of cooked ground beef or chicken on top of the cheese.
- Repeat Layers: Add another layer of chips on top of the meat and cheese. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over this layer.
- Air Fry: Place the basket in the preheated air fryer and cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning.
- Add Toppings: Once the cheese is melted, carefully remove the basket from the air fryer. Sprinkle the diced tomatoes, red onion, and jalapeño’s over the melted cheese.
- Garnish: Drizzle sour cream and guacamole over the nachos. Sprinkle chopped cilantro on top.
- Serve: Place a bowl of salsa on the side for dipping. Serve the nachos immediately while they’re still warm and cheesy.
- Enjoy: Grab a plate and dig in, savoring the combination of crispy chips, melted cheese, and flavorful toppings.
Feel free to adjust the toppings based on your preferences. The air fryer gives the nachos a crispy texture, making them perfect for snacking or sharing with friends.
